Ten ways to beat burnout

1. Face your feelings, acknowledge what is happening.

   Beware denial. Spot the symptoms.

De Nile is more than a river in Egypt!

2. Recognize and reject false cures.

(Excessive work, pursuing the high life, dropping out.)

3. Tidy your environment – physical, mental, and organizational.

4. Balance your lifestyle – healthy diet, rest, exercise, recreation and social life.

5. Re-evaluate what is important to you.

6. Reset your goals and make sure they’re realistic.

    Work out manageable to-do lists.

7. Accept your limitations. Learn to say “No.”

8. Beware of looking for validation from others.

9. Find out what replenishes you and do more of it.

Identify what drains you and do less of it.

10. Re-establish your spiritual life. Actually, this should come first.

The first step  of AA is to acknowledge our powerlessness

       and our need for God.
