Hello from Bryan, the Barefoot Pilgrim.

After a break of 12 years, I am taking a tour pilgrimage tour to Greece again and would love it if you could join me. If you can’t make it, please be an agricultural expert and “sow the seed” to people you know who might be interested.

The tour will start in Athens on 25 September 2025 and will finish back in Athens on 04 October. We will take in 2 nights on the island of Samos and a full day on the island of Patmos. Yes, I know Patmos was the compulsory haunt of the Apostle John, not Paul, but when it’s a short boat ride from Samos and you will already have a Greek visa, it seems a pity to miss out on an opportunity to see where John was given the Revelation. From Samos, we will travel to Pella, the capital city of Alexander the Great before checking into our hotel in Thessaloniki (Thessalonica of the New Testament).

Based in Thessaloniki, we will explore the places and activities of Paul in Philippi/Kavala, Thessalonica and Berea.

We will then travel down to Athens, breaking the journey in Vergina to visit the enthralling museum of Phillip II (father of Alexander), which has been created in the town of Vergina. We will, overnight in Kalambaka and will visit 2 of the amazing monasteries built on top of huge granite pillars, where monks of ancient times found safety from marauders. In their day, the monks had to be hoisted up to the monasteries in a basket, hoping that the monk who was pulling the basket up wasn’t harbouring a grudge which prompted him to let go of the rope. I promise you that we will have a safer, more comfortable way of getting to the 2 monasteries.

We will celebrate our arrival in Athens in a traditional Greek restaurant, with dinner, Greek music and Greek dancing.

From our hotel in Athens, we will explore the areas that we know Paul explored – the marketplace, Mars Hill and the Acropolis and we will take a full-day excursion to the ruins of Ancient Corinth to discover where Paul spent 18 months of his ministry. We will also see the Corinth Canal and Cenchreae (Paul’s departure point for Ephesus).

The package includes 9 night’s hotel accommodation; breakfast and dinner daily; 2 lunches  - 1 in Patmos and 1 in Kavala; transportation by airconditioned coach ; English-speaking guide throughout; all entrance fees, road tolls and city room taxes; tips and gratuities for driver, guide, hotels and external restaurants where dinners and lunches have been arranged; Domestic Airfares in Greece on the routing  Athens / Samos / Thessaloniki.

PLEASE NOTE that International Airfares are not included in the package price. While I can organise flights to and from Athens for you, my past experience has been that many people prefer to arrange their own because they want to tie in visits to nearby places and family members before or after the tour; want to make use of air miles earned on earlier travels; want to choose the airline with which they are most comfortable.

The final package price will depend on the number of people who travel on the tour. The more there are, the cheaper the final package price.

The package price for 10 passengers is €2830.00 and for 30 people, it reduces to €2007.00 per person sharing in a twin/double room. The single supplement is €580.00

If you would are interested, please contact me and I will send you registration forms.

Registration needs to be done  NOT LATER than 30 April 2025.

I really do look forward to the privilege of taking you to Greece later this year.

Blessings

Bryan Andrews
